Description:
Petunias Nana Compacta, also known as Dwarf Mix, bloom up to about a foot tall and feature a perfectly coordinated combination of red, rose, scarlet, violet, and white blooms. Flowers like this attract pollinators and make wonderful edgings and container flowers.
Planting Instructions:
Plant the seeds indoors about 10-12 weeks before the last frost of spring. In a germination flat, press the seed into the surface of the soil; this seed needs light to germinate. Since this seed is tiny, mixing it with sand may help it spread evenly. Keep the soil lightly moist and in a warm place until germination, which usually takes 7-14 days. As soon as the seedlings can safely be handled, transplant them into individual pots; plant them outdoors after the last chance of frost. Water seedlings until they become established. Mature plants tolerate some drought, though they flourish with occasional watering. To encourage branching, pinch back the tips as they grow.
