For an early start, you can sow them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost of spring and transplant outdoors after the threat of frost. Water the young plants occasionally. The mature plants will prefer well-drained soil and can tolerate some drought. Avoid overwatering and overcrowding. After 2-3 years of growth, you can divide the plant.
