The Kentucky Blue pole green bean is a winner of the All-America Selection and is by far our top selling bean. It has all the best traits from both Blue Lake and Kentucky Wonder varieties. It is an excellent pick for home gardens and mass production alike! These beans can be harvested as soon as sixty days after being sown. Vines grow upright, so using a pole or a trellis is required for them to expand and produce pods. Each plant will produce annual harvests. Pods have a taste similar to that of a green bean, and are a light green shade.

Growing Instructions:
Plant after the last frost since pole beans are sensitive to cold. Place the seeds 2" deep and 10" apart allowing them to grow on a trellis or other vertical support as soon as they emerge from the soil. If using a teepee structure, plant them in a group of 5-6 plants per pole. Germination usually occurs in 3 weeks. For companion plants, plant beans with corn as this provides a natural support for both the vines and the corn stalk. Keep the soil moist to ensure healthy plants and productive crops and don't disturb the blossoms as they form. Mulch to conserve moisture and to control competing weeds. Harvest around 10 weeks after germination. Daily harvesting improves production.
