Aster, White Heath (Aster ericoides) - 50 Seeds
•American grown seeds
•USDA Zones: 2-9
Named for their resemblance to the white heath of the moors of England, these Asters thrive in dry, rocky prairies or pastures. Since it spreads easily, it will eventually form extended colonies of attractive white bushes. Native Americans once used this plant in sweat baths since it produces an invigorating herbal steam.
Direct sow the seed in late fall or early spring, planting it just on the surface and compressing the soil slightly and watering once. To start the seeds indoors, sow it in a flat keeping the soil evenly moist and at temperature 65-70° until germination. Transplant the seedlings after the last frost of spring.
