$1.95 $3.90
Originally from South America, Shanin Wild Petunia can be grown successfully as an annual in the Midwest and Northeastern United States. A mature plant will reach a height of 12" and will have oval leaves, erect hairy stems and 2" trumpet-shaped violet flowers. In addition to being great in containers, this plant attracts butterflies and hummingbirds... and repels aphids, bean beetles, leaf hoppers, and tomato hornworms.

•Annual, Tender Perennial
•USDA Zones: 1-12

Planting Instructions:
Plant the seeds indoors about 10-12 weeks before the last frost of spring. In a germination flat, press the seed into the surface of the soil; this seed needs light to germinate. Since this seed is tiny, mixing it with sand may help it spread evenly. Keep the soil lightly moist and in a warm place until germination, which usually takes 7-14 days. As soon as the seedlings can safely be handled, transplant them into individual pots; plant them outdoors after the last chance of frost. Water seedlings until they become established. Mature plants tolerate some drought, though they flourish with occasional watering
