Their tender, white, carrot-like roots have a sweet and distinctive flavor that's delicious in soups and stews, mashed, stir-fried or roasted. The trick to growing the sweetest parsnips? Wait to harvest until after the first frost.

Nutritional Value:
Cabbage is an excellent source of many vitamins as well as a good source for fiber, containing as much as 20% of the recommended daily value of each.

Growing Instructions:
SUMMER CROPS: Start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last spring frost planting them in moist, rich soil ½” deep and 2 inches apart. FALL CROPS: For a fall crop, direct sow or transplant seedlings in midsummer.
