Description:
Globe gilia... also called Bluehead Gilia are a United States native wildflower native to the West Coast, but are grown as an annual flower across the United States. The sweetly scented blossoms are extremely attractive to butterflies. The blooms which feature a violet-blue hue are long lasting when cut and make a wonderful selection for bouquets and markets.

Planting Instructions:
Direct sow in late fall planting just below the surface. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and stratify in the refrigerator for 30 days. After the cold cycle, direct sow outside or start indoors in flats or individual peat pots 6-8 weeks before the last frost of spring. Keep the soil moist and roughly 70° until germination. Transplant the seedlings after the weather has warmed. Keep seedlings consistently watered. Once established, they will be drought tolerant and reduce watering.
